He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer. Exodus 35:35
The Bible refers to a few characters who specifically received abilities from God in order to create. Exodus 35 talks about people who were ‘filled’ with skills and were able to design and produce high quality items for the construction of the Tabernacle.
We live in an era where creative people can be very successful. We see the impact these people have in a world that demands new materials and fresh perspectives. Imagine the affect believers could have on the world if they excelled while giving credit to the One who filled them with these skills?
The Tabernacle was an example of extreme quality workmanship. Everything was done to the highest standard from setting precious gems, to completing the smallest stitch. And God moved through the tabernacle. It was a monument that connected Him to His people.
In this day and age where creativity is in great demand, think about the abilities and skills He has given you. Then use those skills to create things that will connect and draw people to God.
