Considering Bible College? – Hannah Penberthy-Smith

At 18 I decided that I wanted to serve God with my life, but to do this I realised that I needed to invest in a foundation so that I would be well equipped to serve wherever God was going to lead me.
Going to Bible College was a life-changing experience for me. Not only was I able to study God’s Word and Theology, but I started seeing the character of God being revealed in my life as I studied. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get to know God more and invest in gaining knowledge for the kingdom.
If you are looking to attend Bible College, go for it! Hold nothing back when it comes to investing in all that God has for you, and don’t be afraid to dig deep! It is such an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and you will not regret making this choice.
At Summit International School of Ministry, their motto was “Living for the benefit of others.” This often spurred me on during my studies, reminding why I was doing this and how my life would always be used by God if I was willing to live for the benefit of those around me.
Many people go to Bible College for different reasons; some look to go into full time ministry or ordination, and others end up following more vocational paths. Although one day I would love to be in full-time minsitry, going to Summit helped me realise that my whole life can be used by God, whatever I am doing. Bible College enabled me to build a foundation that I can draw on wherever God places me.
